customer faq'S
-
Why are there 3 white rings on the burn spots?White burns mean poor argon/sample preparation. Check a freshly prepared setting up sample (see section 5 of the User Guide) Check the argon is of the correct grade and that the supply is on (see section 3.1 of the User Guide) Check that the argon exhaust is not blocked Make sure the instrument has had time to flush through (see section 3.10 in the ARTUS 8 Guide, 3.8 in the Neo and Save Junior Guide)
-
Small Milk White Burns - Low Argon PressureThe argon inlet may be blocked or the supply tank has insufficient pressure. It is advised to check the pipes for leaks and the pressure on the argon tank.
-
Why is my analysis incorrect?Check the quality of the burns Flush the instrument with Argon for 15 minutes Check the purity of the gas Carry out Standardisation and Spectrum Line Match Standardisation
-
How and where can I replace my setting up samples? Before the sample is too thin or beyond its useful life to use for the re-standardisation procedure; a replacement should be ordered. Contact servicesupport@aruntechnology.com.
-
Is there a warm-up time required before using the instrument? The instrument must warm up for at least 30 minutes before use. This is a portable instrument, and the assumption is that is can be used immediately. The CALIBUS is equipped with a light chamber constant temperature control system to meet the usage requirements at different high and low temperatures, it cannot be avoided. ARUN knows that the competitors are telling their customers that they have to perform a certain number of analyses before they can use the instrument where it will bring them accurate analytical results. This method wastes argon and is costly to the customer.
-
Can HELIUS detect precious metals in ores?Only Ag is included in the mining calibration for HELIUS, Au and other precious elements are usually in a concentration below 0.001% in ores, which makes them hard to detect.
