AEROSPACE

arun technology & aerospace

The aerospace industry relies on strict quality control of incoming materials used for manufacturing, in order to ensure the vital safety and quality compliance of their products.

ARUN Technology’s range of Optical Emission Spectrometers are benchmark instruments for the accurate analysis of metal alloy composition. Fast results and an intuitive software interface mean that ARUN’s OES instruments integrate smoothly into quality inspection processes, meaning incoming materials can be assessed efficiently and reliably. Bespoke calibrations for a range of steels, aluminium alloys, and many other metal bases are offered to ensure the best performance no matter which materials are being analysed.
ARUN Technology also offers industry leading handheld Laser Induced Breakdown Spectrometers for in line inspection of components on the production floor. Offering minimal sample damage and instant results on a touch screen interface, it is the first in the world to offer carbon analysis in steels.

Discover the MERLIN 4 and ARTUS 8 benchtop OES instruments, and the CALIBUS handheld LIBS below.

helius (xrf)

HELIUS is the first in the series of ARUN’s XRF handheld spectrometers. Using X-ray fluorescence analysis technology, this mid-size instrument analyses products of various materials quickly, reliably, and non-destructively. Weighing 1.51 Kg; this is the lightest amongst other devices in the market.

The HELIUS XRF series of metal analysers are a good choice for analysis in many fields; delivering rapid and accurate results right in the palm of your hand. Due to the advanced electronics and state-of-the-art mathematical algorithms, the HELIUS XRF instruments provide ultimate quality of measurement within a couple of seconds.

MERLIN 4 (OES)

The MERLIN 4 is a mid-range CMOS spectrometer available as a dedicated single-base unit as well as a versatile multi-base system. It is well suited for the metal production and inspection & contract lab and marine industries and perfectly suited for the metal processing industry. It is available in 2 models: the MERLIN 4 Ultra and MERLIN 4 Visible. The MERLIN 4 Ultra covers a range of 175-521 nm and the MERLIN 4 Visible: 201-521 nm. Most calibration elements are covered.

Quality Control and Assurance are essential to making your business successful. The MERLIN 4 is the ideal companion for incoming material, in-process testing and final quality inspection.

CALIBUS (LIBS)

The CALIBUS is our laser-induced breakdown spectrometer (LIBS). It is the first and only CMOS-based LIBS analyser in the market to measure carbon in ferrous. The new CALIBUS is an ideal analytical solution for QA/QC, metallurgical manufacturing and machining, petrochemical industries, mining, scrap metal and recycling.

ARTUS 8 (OES)

The ARTUS 8 fulfils the requirement of proving fast, precise and accurate analyses for the perfect melt. It is one of the most powerful and reliable spectrometers offering a complete range of analytical programs including cast irons, steels with carbon and nitrogen, and all alloying elements and their traces needed for treatment.

It offers all the advantages of a flexible and versatile CMOS spectrometer. It even challenges some applications with classical photomultiplier systems, which are still the benchmark in high-end OES.
