ARUN Technology Distributor Successes

It is always nice to be able to report the successes of our Distributors around the world.

Makina Dokum of Bursa Turkey who are exclusive Sales and Service representative for ARUN Technology recently achieved accreditation by TUV DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. To our knowledge this is the only spectrometer Sales and Service organization in Turkey with such certification.

Nippon Crucible (Nihon Rutsubo) of Tokyo Japan is the exclusive Sales and Service representative for ARUN Technology and is active in the Aluminum Industry with their own equipment.

Nippon Crucible has developed a line of Aluminum melting and holding furnaces for use in casting applications known as the MEL-KEEPER that offer considerable advantages over older technology.

The Mel-Keeper (See picture): Is high performance continuous aluminium melting and holding crucible furnace system. Co-developed by Nippon Crucible and Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., the compact single-body combines the features of a batch melting/holding crucible furnace and a non-crucible continuous rapid tower melting/holding furnace. Continuous melting in a crucible, at a low optimum temperature, contributes to less generation of aluminium oxide and less metal loss. If the ideal temperature for casting is achieved, higher metal quality with less hard spots increases productivity, while the utilization of exhaust heat improves energy savings, provides a better work environment and other benefits. All in all this realizes efficient in-house continuous melting and holding of aluminium ingots and returns.

Such has been the success of these units in Japan and overseas that Mr. ‘Tommy’ Okada, President of Nippon Crucible has been awarded several prestigious prizes in recognition of this technological development.

PRIZE of Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI) (excellence in technological advances in energy-saving machinery equipment) awarded by THE JAPAN MACHINERY FEDERATION.

ONODA PRIZE (excellence in the development of die casting technology with viable applications for the industry) awarded by the JAPAN DIE CASTING ASSOCIATION and named for the first president and founder of Tokyo Rika Mfg. Co., Ltd.

TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT PRIZE (excellence in development of innovation technology for the foundry industry) awarded by JACT (JAPAN ASSOCIATION OF CASTING TECHNOLOGY).

TOYOTA PRIZE (excellence in the development of foundry technology) awarded by the JAPAN FOUNDRY ENGINEERING SOCIETY and which prize is supported by Toyota Motor Corp. and Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd., an automobile parts maker affiliated with Toyota Motor Corp.

Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI) “SMALL & MEDIUM ENTERPRISE AGENCY DIRECTOR-GENERALS’ AWARD” (excellence in technological advances in the materials process industry) awarded by The Materials Process Technology Centre (Sokeizai Centre).
