F1 Grand Prix 2008

ARUN Technology can take pride and some credit for the success of the recent 2008 Formula One season. The motor powering Lewis Hamilton to his first World Championship was manufactured at the Mercedes McLaren Engine factory in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. Formerly the Ilmor facility, it uses a MetalScan M1600 series portable to check all incoming materials prior to machining.

Another star of the season was Fernando Alonso who posted two firsts and a second position in the latter part of the series. The Renault facility at Enstone in Oxfordshire, formerly run as Bennetton also uses several MetalScan M1600 series units to check exotic steel, nickel and titanium alloys, both on receipt and again prior to machining.

We would like to congratulate and say well done to everyone involved and we all look forward to another thrilling season in 2009!
